Treat Williams, known for his roles in Everwood and Hair, has passed away at the age of 71 due to a motorcycle accident.

The tragic news was confirmed by his agent of 15 years, Barry McPherson, to FOX3 News on Monday evening.

According to McPherson, Williams was involved in the accident earlier that afternoon when a car abruptly cut him off while he was making a turn. McPherson expresses deep sorrow over the loss, describing Williams as an incredibly kind and talented individual.

According to McPherson, Williams was highly regarded in the acting industry, known as an “actor’s actor” who was cherished by filmmakers.

Since the late 1970s, he had been a prominent figure in Hollywood, serving as its heart. McPherson further shares that Williams took great pride in his recent performances and was content with the projects he had been involved in.

He had achieved a well-balanced career.

While local authorities have yet to officially confirm his identity, Jacob Gribble, the fire chief for Dorset, Vermont, informs FOX3 News that the crash occurred on Monday at approximately 5 p.m. on Route 30 near Dorset, Vermont, close to Long Trail Auto.

According to Gribble, the incident occurred between a car and Williams’ motorcycle. Initial investigations indicate that the driver of the car was making a turn and failed to notice the motorcycle.
