Update: At this time, the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office has conducted a thorough check and confirmed that there is no ongoing threat, and all buildings have been cleared.

As a result, the lockdown has been lifted, and the White Salmon Valley School District will resume normal operations.

Buses will also start their afternoon routes as scheduled.

Original Report:

The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office has received a credible report of a potential active shooter threat in the White Salmon Valley School District.

As a result, all schools in the district have been placed under lockdown until law enforcement clears the area. Deputies are currently present at the site and are communicating with the sheriff’s office.

Parents are advised that buses will not be available until the lockdown ends and that students cannot be picked up at this time due to the blocked entrances by law enforcement.

An update will be provided as soon as possible.
