Aishwarya Thatikonda was one of the victims killed in the shooting at outlet mall in Allen, Texas

She was an engineer, and her family lives in India.



On Saturday, May 6, a mass shooting occurred at the Allen Premium Outlets mall in Allen, Texas, resulting in the loss of at least eight lives and causing injuries to several others who are currently receiving medical treatment.

Police have reported that the suspected perpetrator, Mauricio Garcia, was shot and killed by an officer at the location of the incident.

While the eight people who lost their lives have not been formally identified by law enforcement, President Joe Biden stated on Sunday that the individuals included children.

At the same time, the families of the victims have begun to identify their loved ones who were among those who perished.

It has been confirmed by FOX3 that Aishwarya Thatikonda was among the individuals who lost their lives in the shooting. She was an engineer residing in McKinney, while her family resides in India.

As per a representative of the family, she was at the outlet mall with a friend when the incident took place, and her friend sustained injuries but is now in a stable condition after receiving medical care.

Aishwarya Thatikonda was known as “Rowdy” among her school friends due to her fearless and confident character. She never hesitated to offer assistance to her friends, whether it was to help them with their academic backlogs or contribute funds to their non-governmental organizations.

Aishwarya hailed from the Saroornagar locality in Hyderabad and was employed as a project manager at a firm named Perfect General Contractors LLC in Texas. Following the news of her demise, her family was devastated, and her father, Narsi Reddy, who serves as a judge in the Rangareddy district court, was also deeply affected.

The family intends to transport her body back to India, according to the same representative.
