Cameron Everest Brand arrested for shooting at Mississippi prom party that leaves two dead and four injured

During an overnight house party in southern Mississippi, gunfire broke out, resulting in the deaths of two high school pupils and the injury of four others.

Cameron Everest Brand, 19, was apprehended on six counts of aggravated assault, which were subsequently elevated to homicide.

According to Bay St. Louis police, the victims’ ages ranged from 15 to 18.

Following treatment at a New Orleans hospital, the Hancock County Coroner’s Office informed authorities on Sunday morning that an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old had both died from their injuries.

Police established Brand as the sole shooter based on testimony from witnesses and victims.

He was apprehended at his Pass Christian residence and was being detained without bond following the upgraded accusations.
