UPDATE: The pause on all flights has been lifted. Flights can resume as of 10 a.m.

The FAA has lifted the nationwide ground stop for Southwest Airlines after the carrier experienced an internal technical issue this morning all Flights for Southwest Airlines are now beginning to resume.

As of Tuesday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has instructed Southwest Airlines to halt all of its departures.

The FAA has not disclosed the rationale behind this directive.

FOX3 has reached out to Southwest Airlines for a statement on the matter. In reply to a customer’s tweet, Southwest Airlines stated that they had to implement a ground stop due to sporadic problems and they hope to resume operations promptly.

FlightAware reports that there is a systemwide delay of 30% for Southwest Airlines flights.
