According to the police, numerous individuals were present at the park when the shooting occurred. The investigation into the incident is being led by LMPD’s Homicide Unit, and no suspects have been identified at this time.

This shooting follows closely after Monday’s tragic mass shooting at Old National Bank in downtown Louisville, which resulted in the deaths of five people and left eight individuals injured, including three LMPD officers.

UofL Health has reported that, as of Saturday evening, six patients have been released from the hospital. Officer Nickolas Wilt, who was shot in the head while responding to Monday’s shooting, is still in critical condition.

One other patient is in stable and fair condition.
