The Plano police department has ordered an evacuation of the Plano Campus of Collin College due to a reported shooting on the premises.

The authorities are presently in the process of vacating the building, but as of now, there has been no proof of any shooting or casualties.

According to the Plano police, the incident seems to be a false “swatting” call.

In a message sent to the students, it was stated that classes and regular activities would resume at 1 p.m.

Shortly after 9 a.m., Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth also received a comparable call.

According to Fort Worth police, it seems to be a hoax call, and an inquiry by the authorities is in progress.
