Louisville Old National Bank manager Rebecca Buchheit-Sims witnessed people being murdered in virtual meeting

Sturgeon also reportedly wrote a note for his parents and a friend indicating that he was going to shoot at the bank.

During a virtual meeting with her colleagues at Old National Bank in Louisville on Monday morning, a manager named Rebecca Buchheit-Sims was left horrified as she watched them being shot inside a conference room at the bank.

The perpetrator was identified as an employee named Connor Sturgeon. According to Buchheit-Sims, she was attending a Microsoft Teams meeting that had just started and witnessed the shooting through her computer screen.

Four people lost their lives and nine others sustained injuries in the gunfire incident.

Buchheit-Sims, who witnessed the tragedy, expressed her shock and horror to CNN, stating that she saw people being murdered and couldn’t find any other way to describe it.

She also added that she was equally stunned and couldn’t believe what she was seeing as the events unfolded before her eyes.

The perpetrator, a 23-year-old employee named Connor Sturgeon, was confronted by authorities who responded promptly to the scene and was eventually killed in the confrontation.

Despite not working directly with Sturgeon, Buchheit-Sims described the shooter as having a monotone personality and being extremely intelligent. S

he stated that his temperament was generally low-key and that she had never witnessed him getting angry or upset about anything in public.

According to her, Sturgeon was always relaxed and composed.

Buchheit-Sims mentioned that she was acquainted with the shooter’s father, as her son had been coached by him on his high school basketball team.

Additionally, her husband had served as an assistant coach on the same team.

Sturgeon also reportedly wrote a note for his parents and a friend indicating that he was going to shoot at the bank.

The four individuals who tragically lost their lives in the shooting were identified as Tommy Elliott (63), Jim Tutt (64), Joshua Barrick (40), and Juliana Farmer (45).
