On Thursday night, there was a shooting incident at the Travel Lodge hotel in Fayetteville where a woman and a teenage boy were injured.

The Fayetteville Police Department received a call reporting the shooting around 10 p.m. and responded to the 200 block of Cedar Creek Road.

Upon arrival, they found the woman who had been shot in the back of her leg and a teenage boy who had been grazed by a bullet.

Both individuals were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover from their non-life threatening injuries.

The police have not been able to establish any connection between the woman and the boy and no arrests have been made so far.

Notably, this marks the second shooting incident at the Travel Lodge in recent times as two people were shot and one died in August in the parking lot.

Additionally, last week, gunshots were fired at the Waffle House located on Cedar Creek Road, just a few minutes away from the hotel.
