A family is currently mourning the loss of an 11-year-old boy D’evan McFall who was tragically gunned down by mistake. A 14-year-old girl is now being held responsible for the crime and has been charged with murder.

At approximately two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the horrifying event took place in an apartment complex in Dallas. According to the police report, the girl who was 14 years old had been fighting with another girl when she took a gun and shot in the direction of the other teenager, hitting the boy who was 11 years old. The man, later named as D’evan McFall, was taken to the hospital in a critical condition, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and died there.

Police say that the alleged shooter, who was 14 years old, ran away from the scene. But she was eventually caught at an apartment complex close by. The gun that was used to shoot was also found later. The 14-year-old has been charged with murder and is being held at the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center.

Mitchell said, “This is a terrible thing that happened.” He said that the murder weapon had been found and that detectives were talking to witnesses.

He said that they didn’t think it was a gang-related crime, but that it was a fight between two teens that turned deadly.
