Lockdown at Oklahoma Christian University lifted

A number of different law enforcement organizations are reacting to a complaint of an active shooter at Oklahoma Christian University.



Update from Oklahoma Christian University: At approximately 4 PM this afternoon OC Campus Police received a phone call from an individual threatening violence on the OC Campus. The communication from the individual was not clear, but we take these threats very seriously.

Authorities have now determined that there is no immediate threat to the campus and given an all clear to resume normal activities.

Out of an abundance of caution, additional police officers will maintain patrols on campus through this evening and overnight hours.

We express our thanks to OC Police for leading us through our safety protocols, and we are grateful to our law enforcement partners for their quick support.

Authorities investigating a threat toward Oklahoma Christain University campus on lockdown.

Authorities are investigating a threat that was made to the Oklahoma Christian University campus Thursday evening.

The university said the campus is placed on lockdown as police units on scene clear the school.

Officers and detectives are currently on scene conducting an investigation.

As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.

No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.

Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
