Jamaican-American Artist, Joseph Marley, who’s also known as Jo Mersa, was found dead today in the USA. Marley is the son of Reggae Star Stephen Marley & the grandson of reggae legend, Bob Marley.

According to an original tweet posted by journalist Abka Fitz-Henley on Tuesday, the Jamaican American reggae star was purportedly found unresponsive in a vehicle.

WZPP, a radio station in South Florida, announced on Instagram that it had confirmed Jo Mersa’s passing and stated that he passed away as a result of an asthma attack. However, the station did not mention a location where the incident took place. It was mentioned that the singer had a wife and a daughter that he had left behind.

In 2014, Jo Mersa issued an extended play (EP) titled “Comfortable,” which featured the song of the same name.

He grew up in Jamaica until he was in high school, when he moved to Florida. A 2014 editorial in the Jamaica Observer said that he went to Miami Dade College to study studio engineering.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
